Diploma course in Commercial & Computer Practice is designed to provide students with a wide range of managerial skills, while building competence in a various areas of business

Aiming to be make Department of Commercial & Computer Practice one of the best Diploma courses for Commercial practice in Andhra Pradesh, the college exposes students to general business principles by providing knowledge in business management, economics, statistics, finance, marketing, human resources, accounting, etc, thus promoting intellectual, ethical and secretarial skills.

Based on statistics the department is proud to record that the course ensures cent percent job opportunity for the students. After the successful competition of the course, students are having opportunity to pursue their education by joining B.Com (Computers) second year directly. Students are employed in Nationalized Banks, Public Sector and Private sector undertakings.

  • To equip women with competencies essential for Providing exemplary Secretarial Services to aid in managing the Business Organizations utilizing Information Technologies.
Mission
  • M1: Designing outcome based curriculum to impart essential competencies for providing secretarial services to aid in managing the business organizations utilizing Information Technologies
  • M2: Enforcing outcome based learning and teaching in conformity with Bloom’s Revised Taxonomy
  • M3: Implementing outcome based assessment of student attainment using well designed RUBRICS
  • M4: Providing land, built up space, furniture, laboratory equipment, computing and library facilities, and any other facilities as per the norms and standards of Regulatory bodies.
Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)
  • PEO1: Forecasting the future changes in commercial and secretarial service requirements for manufacturing /service/ trading organizations and possessing agility for adopting changes.
  • PEO2: Designing and implementing business congruity and memorandum using Information Technologies.
  • PEO3: Acquiring managerial skills and entrepreneurship skills to become a successful manager / entrepreneur.
  • PEO4: Accessing new knowledge and skills in commercial and computers practices by pursuing higher studies and learning lifelong by attending conferences/ seminars/symposia

  • PO1: Basic and Discipline specific knowledge - Ability to apply basic knowledge of English, English shorthand, accounting, quantitative techniques, computer application packages specifically for supporting business / office operations.
  • PO2: Problem analysis - Ability to identify and analyse the problems pertaining to functional areas of business / office
  • PO3: Design/ development of solutions Ability to generate alternative solutions for the business / office problems identified.
  • PO4: Engineering Tools, Experimentation and Testing - Ability to apply quantitative techniques and computer application packages for selecting the best solution from among the alternative solutions.
  • PO5: Engineering practices for society, sustainability and environment - Ability to provide secretarial services in compliance with the professional, ethical, legal and environmental standards in vogue.

Alumni Student Mentorship Program

One of the key ways for alumni to volunteer their services to their alma mater is through the Alumni Student Mentorship Program (ASMP). The latter facilitates one-on-one meetings between Sri Padmavathi Women’s Polytechnic ,TTD,Tirupati alumni and the Institute’s students. Through ASMP, alumni mentor and guide the students with life-changing decisions regarding their future career paths, offer their expertise to departments and faculty, help with fundraising initiatives, arrange for guest speakers at events held at the Institute, and more.

Alumni Day

Every year Alumni day is celebrated on the 25thSeptember of the every year. Alumni come together to celebrate, rejuvenate and reconnect with their alma mater.Sri Padmavathi Women’s Polytechnic, TTD, Alumni Interactive Dinner in SPW POLYTECHNIC HOSTEL Sri Padmavathi Women’s Polytechnic Alumni Association is constituted.
